Joseph J. "#1 Pops" Pepe

On January 10, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 82. Beloved husband of 60 years to Anna (nee LaRocca). Devoted father of Julia Pepe and Maryanne Franz (Bill). Loving grandfather of Marianna Deritis (Dean), Janine McGraw (Adam) and Adam Franz (Patty). Proud great-grandfather of Joseph, Justina, Adam, Austin and Ava.

Joe loved spending time with his family and friends and watching football. While attending Camden High, Joe played football and also played for the Zunni Semi-Pro Football team of Camden. Joe was a member of the Young Men's Catholic Club, worked at RCA in Camden, and was a Prudential Insurance agent for 27 years. He was the owner of Pepe's Sandwich Shop in Turnersville for 38 years. Joe's motto was, "Keep a smile on your face, a song in your heart, and a drink in your hand."

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday eve 7:00 – 9:00pm and Friday 9:30 – 10:30am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am at SS Peter and Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to the St. John of God School, 1145 Delsea Drive, P.O. Box 1979, Westville, NJ 08093.
