Just thinking about you today Jack. St Patty's Day just didn't feel the same this year. We hadn't spent a St Patty's day together in years... but there were always the memories of the ones we had and the hope of more to come. I still have the memories at least :-)

I love you Jack. I think of you fondly and often.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Jack's passing. I was fortunate to have worked with Jack at Optimark (albeit all too briefly). I always found Jack to be extremely sharp, caring, insightful and always armed with that sharp Irish wit. The world had far too few Jack McCarthys.

To Linda and Amanda, please know that Jack touched so many lives in a positive way: the world was a better place to have had him and a sadder place to have lost him far too soon. You are in our thoughts in prayers. God bless you.

Mrs. McCarthy & Amanda,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. McCarthy. Throughout the many years that your home was my second home I can remember the laughter and memories that I shared with him. He was a beautiful man with a huge heart. Whether me and Amanda were playing in the snow, going to the mall or sitting at the Linc, Mr. McCarthy was always right by our side with a joke and some good advice. The world was and is a better place because of him and it breaks my heart to hear of his passing. I am praying for the both of you and I would like you to know that both my family and myself are here for you if you need Anything at all. I love you both very much and I hope that God remains close by your side in this, your time of need.
Sincerely,
Jennifer

Jack was the big brother I never had. He fulfilled that role with wisdom, grace, patience and humor. He led by example in his love of family and friends, his devotion to Linda and Amanda and his love of life. Whether it was a trip with the families to the Shore, an adult trip to wine country or through the fine dining establishments of Chicago, everyone had a good time with Jack because he always had a great time. Professionally, he exemplified excellence. And here too, he led by example. He made even the most arduous projects seem easier and always made you want to perform your best work. His motivational "team dinners" were legendary! My deepest condolences to Linda and Amanda on your untimely loss. Those of us who have loved and lost him will never forget him and he will continue to lead by example in our collective memories. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
